I want everyone to know that I am working with 25 downtown businesses on the Super Santa Giveaway 2011.

All through the month of December, many of the downtown business are having a free gift give away at their stores. The only thing you have to do is go into them and register for a gift to be given away by each store every Friday this month. They will also have a flier you can take that lists which ones are involved.

There will be a number on the flier and that will give you a second chance at winning each week. In addition to you putting your name and contact info into their jar, the number on your sheet may have been chosen at random by them on Saturday. Each store will choose a different number at random and you will have 25 chances each week to win a prize through December.

I can’t tell you how many people I have spoken with that did not know certain businesses were downtown, and this is a way for you to see how much downtown Warsaw has to offer. You may be pleasantly surprised.

Now more on who is in the contest. I will not mention names of stores, but I will say we have five restaurants, a jewelry store, flower shop, furniture store, a men’s and women’s fashions store and several boutiques.

This is just the beginning of your Christmas season, so why not start it out by winning a prize and patronizing a local downtown store or restaurant?

In this time of economic turmoil we need to stick together more than ever, and it is your neighbors that own these stores and pay taxes. So let’s step up to the plate and be there for them. Oh, and you will find their service and selection as well as prices as good as it gets.

Just so you know, I have not made any compensation agreements with any business. My only motivation is to build up the stores of some of the people that I have come to love and respect over my lifetime and especially the past two years of living back home in Warsaw.

Please have a great Christmas and give all you can to those in need it always comes back in volumes and the feeling is unbeatable.
