SYRACUSE - Sue Jenkins, 82, Syracuse, died at 11:10 p.m. Nov. 8, 2009, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

She was born Feb, 8, 1927, in Fulton County, Ill., to Charles B. and Willetta Tracy Baker. On Jan. 22, 1944, in Pontiac, Ill., she married William M. "Bill" Jenkins, who died Feb. 13, 1984.

She attended Forrest High School, Forrest, Ill., and retired as a manager of Indian Creek Country Club, Fairbury, Ill., after several years before she moved to the Syracuse area in 1980.

She was a member of Lakeland Eagles Lodge Auxiliary 3760 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 1342, both in Syracuse.

Surviving are four daughters: Darlene (and spouse Randy) Turner, Alvin, Texas; Pam (and spouse Chuck) Whitesel, Germantown, Md.; Teri (and spouse Randy) Lindzy, Pierceton; Kim Kafer, Bloomington, Ill.; two sons, Mike (and spouse Margo) and Gary (and spouse JoAnn) Jenkins, all of Bloomington, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Burnell Baker, Bloomington, Ill. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury, Ill., with Pastor Ed David officiating. The Lakeland Eagles Auxiliary will hold a service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury, Ill.

Calling is from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Family Funeral Home and from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home.
