EATON – Sue Ann Mitchell, 77, passed away April 3, 2014, in Elkhart.
She was born Nov. 24, 1936, in Muncie, to Claude and Dora Campbell Matchett. On Sept. 17, 1954, at the Foursquare Church in Muncie, she married Ronald D. Mitchell, who preceded her in death.
She attended school at Royerton High School. She retired from MITS after 15 years of employment. She was a member of the Foursquare Church, Ligonier Church of the Nazarene, Local 1499, CB Club and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 90. Her interests included flowers, collecting angels, helping others, spending time with family and listening to Elvis.
Survivors include three children: Cheryl (and spouse Ron) Timke, Syracuse; Theresa (and spouse Terry) Crabtree, Eaton; James Mitchell, Nappanee; a sister, Wanda Brees; a brother, Gary (and spouse Marlene) Matchett; eight grandchildren: Adam (and spouse Shannon) Timke; Chris (and spouse Anna) Mills; Rachel (and spouse Scott) Blackwell; Michael (and spouse Brittany) Mills; Angie (and spouse Troy) Withers; Terry R. (and spouse Virgil) Crabtree; Travis and Tyler Mitchell; 11 great-grandchildren: Christopher, Mitchell, Sara, Mick, Breanna, Kaden, Kloe, Karson Mills; Ethan Blackwell; Kerissa and Kody Withers; a sister-in-law, Penni Matchett; and several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, David and Tommy Matchett; and a brother-in-law, Jack Brees.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, with Pastor John Lutton officiating. Burial is in Gardens of Memory, Muncie.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and for one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
