AKRON – Sue A. Greene, 76, Roann, died at 7:45 p.m. Oct. 16, 2014, at her residence after fighting leukemia for over 2-1/2 years.
She was born Dec. 11, 1937, in Kokomo, to Paul and Katherine Martin Butcher. On July 3, 1955, in Kokomo, she married Harley D. Greene, who survives in Roann.
She retired from the Shopping Guide News, where she worked for 30 years. She graduated from Kokomo High School in 1955. She attended the Olive Branch Church of God. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Also surviving are a daughter, Anita Greene, Roann; a son, David Greene, Roann; two grandsons, D.J. Greene and Daniel Davidson; a granddaughter, Jessika Greene; and a great-granddaughter, Khloe Harris. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Butcher; three sisters-in-law: Jo Butcher, Pat Greene and Donnis Eades; and in-laws, Dan and Ann Greene.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Olive Branch Church of God, 4581 E. CR 1200N, Roann, with Pastor Jeff Sumner officiating. Burial is in Gilead (Ind.) Cemetery.
Calling is from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, is entrusted with arrangements.
