It’s located at the corner of Ind. 15 and 14 and owner Marilyn McDonald said she hopes to have it up and running by Thanksgiving at the latest.
When all is said and done it will be 1,700 square feet and will feature a fireplace, TVs and lounge chairs.
McDonald also said it will have free Wi-Fi.
“I feel good about the location,” said McDonald. “A traffic study showed that 2,000 vehicles stop at our stop sign each day.”
This is McDonald’s first business venture.
The land is owned by her step-father Doyle Heckaman who is also serving as the general contractor.
Since McDonald is going to operate a franchise-owned she will attend “Subway School” in Connecticut for two weeks before her Silver Lake location opens.
Since it is also franchise-owned that means it will offer the same quality and products of other Subways.
McDonald said she hopes to add up to 15 jobs at the location.
As the business gets closer to opening, McDonald will announce times and location for interviews.
Along with parking for cars, McDonald said she also hopes the location will have parking for semis that roll through the area.
