Students Compete At Conference

Warsaw Community High School Business Professionals of America chapter spent March 16-18 in Indianapolis participating in the leadership conference and competitions.

Nearly 1,600 business students from Indiana participated in this conference, competing in more than 60 different contests. The students who qualified for national-level competition will go to Reno, Nev., in May to compete against the other qualifiers from around the country.

Some highlights of the contests include:

n Keaton Petro placed sixth and Erica Ridderman placed seventh in Financial Math and Analysis.

n Christina Wilson placed sixth in Management, Marketing and Human Resources Concepts.

n Zane Hollar placed first in the state in Digital Media Production and will move on to national competition.

n Piero Ridoutt placed sixth in Prepared Speech.

n Nicole Kuhn, Erica Ridderman, Hilary Shepherd and Lauren Smolen placed second in the state with their Financial Analyst Team and will move on to national competition.

n Keaton Petro placed second in the state in Advanced Accounting and will move on to national competition. He also placed fourth in the state in Payroll Accounting and will move on to national competition in that event as well.
