When I rode my bike to the fairgrounds on the 16th of June, I was pleased to note that Smith Street was no longer under construction, and on the way back, I was thrilled to realize that I no longer had to pick my way to avoid pureeing my newly purchased tomatoes. It still feels odd not to see bumps where they used to be.
Last Monday, I had occasion to ride my bike to KCH. I went out by Harrison Street, which is better than it was when freshly paved, because traffic has flattened the drop-off between the new paving and the shoulder until one scarcely needs to take note of it. If I recall correctly, Harrison is just as good on the other side, but I yearn for variety, so I came back by way of the Greenway.
Much to my surprise, Lincoln and Fort Wayne are just as smooth as Smith.
