The annual dance production is the culmination of training for the studio’s students.
“We all share many common school experiences and memories,” said Lee Anne Stewart, owner and operator of the dance schools. “This year’s show gives us all an opportunity to reminisce about our school days with all of its ups, downs, and smiles while enjoying many spirited and beautiful dances.”
The Nappanee studio will hold its performances at Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center June 11 at 7 p.m. and June 12 at 4 p.m.
Performances also will be held for the Syracuse studio at Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center June 17 at 7 p.m.; June 18 at 7 p.m.; and June 19 at 4 p.m.
Tickets for all productions are just $8.50 each.
June will mark the close of Stewart’s 38th year of teaching dance in the greater Wawasee area. A second studio was opened in Nappanee in the fall of 1996. Both studios host students from many surrounding communities including Goshen, Leesburg, Warsaw, Bremen and Plymouth among many others.[[In-content Ad]]Some of the songs audiences will enjoy at this year’s show include “Teacher's Pet”, “Back to School Again”, “I Missed the Bus” and “It’s Raining on Prom Night”. Also during the productions, more than 50 students will receive awards for five, 10 and 15 years of taking classes at the Stewart Dance schools.
“I’m so proud of each of the students performing, but I love recognizing the young dancers who reach these milestones in their dance education,” said Stewart.
