SYRACUSE – Steven L. Meyer, 65, of Syracuse, died Feb. 18, 2012, in I.U. Goshen Hospital.

He was born Aug. 24, 1946, in Elwood, to Robert and Joan Summers Meyer. His wife, Mary Meyer, survives in Syracuse.

He retired from Dana Corp. after 30 years of service. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and an Indiana National Guard veteran. He was a member of Syracuse American Legion and Elwood Elks Lodge.

Also surviving are his mother, Joan Meyer, Elwood; three brothers: Mick (and spouse Suzanne) Meyer, Atlanta, Ind.; Dan (and spouse Cindy) Meyer, Elwood; and Jack (and spouse Jane) Meyer, Payne, Ohio; seven sisters: Barbara (and spouse Don) Pine, Beth (and spouse John) Moser and Judy Speer, all of Elwood; Becky (and spouse Randy) Robinson and Mary (and spouse Carl) Kidd, all Muncie; Peggy (and spouse Ted) Bryan, Anderson; and Sue (and spouse Kenny) Clouser, Noblesville; three stepsons, Lonnie (and spouse Dee) Godfrey, Cromwell, and Rod Godfrey and Travis (and spouse Amy) Ball, all of Syracuse; two stepdaughters, Kerri (and spouse Howard) Kelley, Syracuse, and Shanda (and spouse Frank) Owens, Millersburg; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home, Elwood.

Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Eastlund Funeral Home, 7458 E. CR 1000N, Syracuse, and from  1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.
