KOKOMO – Stephen L. Wood, 69, of Kokomo and Leesburg, died at 6:15 p.m. Dec. 25, 2011, in Howard Regional Health System.
He was born April 17, 1942, in Kokomo, to David and Geraldine Cassell Wood. On June 1, 1973, he married Ruth E. Denman, who survives.
He graduated from Kokomo High School in 1960 and Indiana University, Indianapolis, in 1978. He worked at Delco Electronics for 23 years and retired from EDS Sept. 30, 1999, after 15 years of service. He was a member of Elks Lodge 190. 
Also surviving are his children: Thomas (and spouse Lisa) Wood, Stuart, Fla., and Sheila (and spouse Ben) DeHaven, Walton; six grandchildren; and two brothers, David (and spouse Pam) Wood, Kokomo, and Joseph Michael Wood, Indianapolis. 
Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, Lincoln Road Chapel, Kokomo.
Calling is from 4 p.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
