Rick and Jean Stavedahl, Mentone, announce the engagement of their daughter, Chelsea Stavedahl, Indianapolis, to Loren Eggert, Indianapolis. He is the son of Ray and Laura Eggert, Mill Creek.
The bride-to-be is a registered nurse at Riley Hospital for Children, Indianapolis. She graduated from  Tippecanoe Valley High School, Akron, in 2003 and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Purdue University in May 2007.
The groom is a software engineer at JDSU, Indianapolis. He graduated from LaPorte High School in 2002 and earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Purdue University in 2006.
The couple plan an Oct. 13, 2012, wedding.
