Stars and Stripes at Nappanee Second Saturdays

NAPPANEE – The theme for this month’s Second Saturdays in Nappanee is “Stars And Stripes”.
Second Saturdays is scheduled for Saturday.
Moonlight madness is happening Friday until 9 p.m..  Visitors can shop late and be part of the “Stars and Stripes” gift basket give away. 
Collect stars for a flag, turn the flag in and be entered to win a gift basket from Nappanee Merchants.
The following are some more events scheduled for Saturday.
Home Tour
Tour Steve and Honey Walters’ home at 1064 Golfview Dr. from 1 to 4 p.m. this month.
Tickets available at Veni’s Sweet Shop, Downtown Design & Consign, and L.J. Wagner’s Home Interiors.
Tickets are $5 in advance or $6 at the door.
Kids’ Craft at Library
Decorate a wooden star pinwheel in the Children’s Craft Room at the Nappanee Public Library, 157 N.Main St., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  and then see how fast it spins outside in the wind. Supplies are limited.
Flag Etiquette and Retirement Ceremony
The American Legion will provide proper flag techniques demonstrations and have a flag retirement ceremony starting at Noon at the corner of N. Main and W. Walnut streets.
Be sure to visit the Scout “Village” with local Cub & Boy Scout troops.
Sidewalk Salute
Kids grades K-12 can bring their own sidewalk chalk and design a salute to our flag and heroes! Event starts at 1 p.m. at Key Bank, 161 E. Market St.
Registration starts at 12:30 p.m. and space is limited.
Healthy Summertime Cooking Demonstration
Kountry Cabinets will feature a Healthy Summertime Meals Cooking Demonstration with clinical dietitian Sami Kauffman with I.U. Health-Goshen, at 11 a.m. and again at noon.
Quilt Display & Garden and Military Tribute
Come view handmade military memorial quilts at the Nappanee Center, 302 W. Market St. from 10 a.m. to noon. Don’t forget to walk through the Military Tribute display and then head around back and view this year’s Quilt Garden : “All American as Apple Pie”.[[In-content Ad]]
