ROCHESTER – Stanley “Stash” L. Bugno, 83, of Rochester, died at 3:54 p.m. Nov. 11, 2011, in Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.

He was born Dec. 10, 1927, to Louis and Irene Novoski Bugno. On Jan. 12, 1952, in Camden, N.J., he married Eleanor C. Connell, who survives.

After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Upon his return to the states he became a railroader, working as a freight conductor for the Conrail Co., retiring in 1992 after 50 years of service.

Also surviving are a daughter, Joy (and spouse James) Bennett, Harlington, Texas; two sons, Dr. Craig (and  spouse Susan) Bugno, Rochester, and Curt (and spouse Pamela) Bugno, Marlton, N.J.; 12 grandchildren; four   sisters, Elizabeth, Dorothy, Theresa and Mary; and two brothers, David and Louis. He was preceded in death by  a sister.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with Pastor Bruce Russell officiating. Burial will be in Rochester’s IOOF Cemetery with military graveside rites by members of Manitou  Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and the LeRoy Shelton American Legion Post.

Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
