Stained Glass Workshop Offered

NORTH WEBSTER - The North Webster Community Center announced John Miretti, of Miretti Stained Glass, will conduct a stained glass workshop at the center beginning May 18 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Miretti graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a bachelor's degree in art. He has spent many years perfecting his skills and has chosen to dedicate his focus on teaching others the art of stained glass.[[In-content Ad]]During the workshop, he will teach the basics of stained glass. Each participant will create a geometric panel, either 8 inches by 8 inches or 8 inches by 10 inches. During his three-class workshop, the instructor will work with participants step by step to create a beautiful work of art.

Each participant should attend the first class date of May 18, and then choose the two dates that work best with their schedule to work on and finish their project. The additional dates are May 21, May 28 and June 1, all times from 6 to 8 p.m.

Cost for the workshop is $60 per student and includes all necessary supplies. Registrations are currently being accepted by calling the community center at 574-834-1600. Space is limited.
