Kosciusko Community YMCA will start spring classes April 9.

Classes that promote the healthy living aspect of the YMCA will include group exercise classes at both the Smith Street and North Webster branches, classes for older adults and water aerobics in both the warm water and lap pools.
Several of the YMCA’s group exercise classes are family focused and parents are encouraged to bring their children ages 8 and up.
The majority of group exercise and water aerobics classes are now included with a YMCA membership.
Registration for these classes starts Monday for YMCA members and March 26 for everyone else and can take place at the North Webster or the Smith Street branch or online at www.kcymca.org
The YMCA also is offering “Let’s Get Technical,” a class offering basic instruction on a set topic related to technology twice a month.
Open to anyone of any age who needs some assistance, class continues the first and third Monday of each month from 9 to 10 a.m. or 2 to 3 p.m.

In preparation for the Mideast Spring Optimist Triathlon in Winona Lake June 23, the YMCA will offer two workshops.
On March 26 at 6:30 p.m., the YMCA will provide training on how to get started in preparing for a triathlon.
On June 4 at 6:30 p.m., the training will continue with tips on transitions and race-day pointers. These workshops will be free to everyone, but people are encouraged to register.  Contact Stacy Thomas with any questions. Visit the YMCA website at www.kcymca.org for a triathlon training plan schedule.

This spring the YMCA will have an adult beginner Spanish 2 class. This course will be a basic course offering introductory Spanish for adults.
Participants will learn to listen, speak, read and write using music, stories and conversation. The class will benefit those who may use the Spanish language on mission trips, in the classroom with Spanish-speaking families, or for use in basic interaction with customers or co-workers who may speak Spanish.
Registration is going on now for the Spanish class, which will start April 12 and take place at the YMCA on Thursdays until May 24 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. This class is a continuation of Spanish 1. That class or previous experience is necessary to sign up for Spanish 2.
The annual YMCA Fashion Show will be at Center Lake Pavilion May 17 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
This is a chance to get together with friends for lunch, entertainment and the latest fashions. The show will feature clothes from Carson’s. There will be lunch and door prizes.
