Coon Earns Offensive Honor
GREENVILLE, Ill. — Greenville College sophomore Corinne Coon, a Warsaw Community High School graduate, has been named the Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 12-18.

Coon, an opposite side hitter, averaged 2.63 kills per set and had a .437 attack percentage in four matches played last week. She also added eight total digs and had 11 blocks.

Coon posted nine kills and no errors on 13 total attempts for a .692 attack percentage in a 3-0 victory (25-11, 25-17, 25-19) against Robert Morris University-Springfield. Her next performance of the week included 10 kills and only one error in 24 total attempts, as Greenville defeated Illinois College 3-2 (24-26, 23-25, 26-24, 26-24, 16-14). Coon also added three digs and six total blocks in the win.

In a key conference matchup, Coon came up big with 18 kills and a .429 attack percentage to help lead the Panthers to a 3-2 win (21-25, 25-21, 25-20, 18-25, 16-14) versus Webster University. She finished the week with five kills and three digs as Greenville lost 3-0 (18-25, 20-25, 19-25) to Spalding University.

Dig Pink Match At WCHS
To heighten Breast Cancer Awareness, the Warsaw volleyball team will conduct its annual Dig Pink Match Thursday at home against Wawasee.

Along with attendees being asked to wear pink, other activities will take place, such as the Adult Tiger boosters holding a 50/50 raffle and door prizes that consist of some great merchandise and gift cards donated from local merchants.

Gymnastic Classes
Midwest Xtreme is accepting registration for fall session gymnastics.
 
The program starts off with a fall session, lasting eight weeks for boys and girls ages 2 years and up.

Midwest Xtreme gymnastics classes are for students who are interested in learning the basics and advanced level of the sport in a fun and structured environment. Classes are arranged by age and grouped by skill level. Instruction is provided on each piece of gymnastics apparatus and all students participate in basic stretching and conditioning and tumbling.

The coaching staff and curriculum follows the direction of the USAG, who is the sole national governing body for the sport of gymnastics in the United States.

Midwest Xtreme is located at 1155 Executive Drive, just off of U.S. 30 West, at the intersection of C.R. 150 W. or one mile west of the US30/State Road 15 overpass in Warsaw.

Save $40 for early registration. Once classes are full, special registration savings will end. Discounted fee for siblings & multiple classes.
