SPEC News for April

NORTH WEBSTER – The Senior Primelife Enrichment Center, North Webster, will host the April birthday party  Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.  

Retired Pastor Norm Glassburn will give a slide presentation of the Holy Land. Come for an interesting program and have free cake and ice cream.

Come and have lunch Thursday and enjoy “lunch and learn” with the Nightingale Home Service representatives.

Don’t forget to buy your tickets for the annual Shrimp Stag to be held at the North Webster Community Center  April 14. Jerry Rhodes, SPEC president, will be happy to sell you a ticket for the popular annual event. Call 574-834-1600, Ext. 4.

The next trip to the Four Winds Casino will be April 16.  Call SPEC at 574-834-1600, Ext. 4, for details and to reserve your spot on the bus.

April 17 is “card day” from 12:15 to 3 p.m. Come and enjoy lunch and the afternoon with friends.

April 18 will be the Foot Connection. Come and have your feet pampered by Tony. She will soak your feet and cut your toenails. As we age, foot health is very important.

April 26, the Angels of Mercy will come for a presentation. These are two relatively new senior health care services in our area. It is always wise to be informed because you never know when a need might arise.  

This summer they will be taking three trips to the Wrigley Field for a Chicago Cub’s baseball game. The dates are as follows:  May 30 - Padres, June 27 - Mets and Aug. 15 the Astros. Call Barb or Larry at SPEC for more information.
