Denny and Jan Spearman, Leesburg, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessie Spearman, to Trevor Shields, son of Mel and Jill Shields, Nappanee.

The bride-to-be graduated from Wawasee High School in 2006 and Bethel College in 2010. She earned a bachelor's degree in nursing and will be working at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.

The groom-elect graduated from NorthWood High School in 2005 and Purdue University in 2009. He earned a bachelor's degree in secondary education and is teaching and coaching at Greensburg Community Schools.

The couple plan a June 17, 2011, wedding.
