German and Zora Sparks, 1906 Ironwood Road, Warsaw, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 7, 2010.

German Sparks and the former Zora Whitaker were married Oct. 7, 1950, in Silver Lake, by the Rev. Levi Hill.

He was a machinist and retired from Zimmer in 1992. A material handler, she worked at Zimmer, retiring in 1993.

They have two daughters, Kathy (and the late Dexter) Hall, Warsaw, and Christine (and spouse Roger) Fannin, Rochester; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

An open house will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at New Life Christian Church, 744 S. CR 325E, Warsaw.
