Carl and Laura Sowers will mark their 25th wedding anniversary Aug. 20, 2008. Carl Sowers and Laura Campbell were married Aug. 20, 1983, at Walnut Creek United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tony Hardcastle officiating.

He has been employed at Rohm & Haas for 23 years, and she has been employed at the Times-Union for 22 years.

The couple have three children: Brittany (and spouse Nick) Denney, Silver Lake; and Heather Sowers and Branden Sowers, both at home.

The couple celebrated the anniversary with a trip to Las Vegas in July and their children hosted a surprise family dinner at Don Hall's Guest House in Fort Wayne.[[In-content Ad]]
