The bride-to-be is a former English teacher in Azumino City, Nagano, Japan. She earned a bachelor’s degree in international studies and TESOL from Moody Bible Institute in 2008.

The groom-elect is a former English teacher in Shiojiri, Nagano, Japan. He earned a bachelor’s degree in communicatins from Bryan College in 2009.

The couple plan an Aug. 11, 2012, wedding.
