Thoughts on our Social Security. The Social Security fund is not protected.

All the funds not used for Social Security have been spent on other projects by our Congress. There is only I.O.U.s in the fund to be paid by taxing us.

Think if you can the trillions of dollars that would have been available for business expansion if the Social Security moneys would have been invested instead of spent by our Congress.

But you say the market is risky. True, but investments double about every 7-10 years. So if you paid Social Security 40 years the first in would be eight times and the last in zero. This gives an average of about four times what you put in. Recently the stock market dropped about 40 percent. This investment then is over double the money you put in.

Which is better, double your pay in our I.O.U.'s to be paid by our taxes.
