Stacy Ann Socha and Scott Anthony Thomas were married Oct. 18, 2008, at Central Christian Church, Huntington, with Dr. Sam Young officiating. The bride is the daughter of Dave and Terri Socha, South Whitley; the groom's parents are Bonnie and Duey Brumbaugh, Markel, and Mike and Maurine Thomas, Kalamazoo, Mich.

Maid of honor was Andrea Jo Socha, Fort Wayne. Bridesmaids were Alicia Williams, Columbia City; Dana Day, South Whitley; Lindsey Bundy, Janesville, Wis.; Jenna Socha, Indianapolis; and Tiffany Jackson, Huntington. Flower girl was Brianna Thomas, Huntington.

Best man was Jeremy Williams, Columbia City. Groomsmen were Joel Thomas, Dustin Thomas, Mike Ingle and David Jackson, all of Huntington; and Brandon Best, Markel. Ushers were Nick Zahm and Rob Zahm, both of Huntington. Ring bearer was Gage Thomlanson, Markel.

A reception was held at the Police Athletic League, Huntington.

The bride is the wellness director at Kosciusko Community YMCA, Warsaw. She is a 2004 graduate of Whitko High School, South Whitley, and received a bachelor's degree in recreation management from Huntington University in 2008.

The groom is employed by the Goshen Fire Department. He is a 2002 graduate of Huntington North High School and attended Ivy Tech Community College.

After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple reside in Warsaw.[[In-content Ad]]

Editor, Times-Union: I’ve heard folks say I have prime farmland. What I haven’t heard mentioned are the eleven towers scattered across it - eleven towers that you have to till, plant, and harvest around. Heaven forbid you hit one. Planes that spray my fields can’t hit the full area because of these obstacles. I’ve got four irrigation units running to irrigate the best I can, where normally two would suffice.

Those projects are now complete. Yet the tax remains.
