They owned and operated Smith Bros. Diesel Inc., retiring after 50 years. They lived in Mentone all but the time Robert was in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1952-54.
They have a daughter, Sara Jo (and spouse Salvador) Murcia; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
They will celebrate at a later date.
