Howard and Muriel Smith, Winona Lake, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 3. Howard and the former Muriel Covert were married Sept. 3, 1949, in Warkworth, Ontario, Canada.

She is a retired registered nurse. He is a retired pastor and spent the last 14 years before retiring as pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Warsaw.

They have five children: Heather Lemon, Vail, Colo.; Ian (and spouse T.T.), Aptos, Calif.; Murray (and spouse Karen), Houston, Texas; Janet (and spouse Ron), Zebulon, N.C.; and Brian (and spouse Catherine), Savannah, Ga.; and 15 grandchildren.

They celebrated with a family dinner in Vail, following a granddaughter's wedding.[[In-content Ad]]
