Only property was damaged in an accident that involved a tractor-trailer and six other vehicles Monday evening in Warsaw.

Around 5:39 p.m. Monday, Michael E. Dubose, 47, of Norcross, Ga., pulled into the Detroit Street Penguin Point restaurant to get something to eat. As he was driving around the back of the building in his semi, he did not realize the trailer on his vehicle caught a set of low-hanging power and electric lines.

According to a police report, Dubose said he heard a loud bang and looked back to see that he was dragging the wires.

The utility pole supporting the wires snapped and hit the trailer, causing extensive damage.

The wires fell, hitting six parked vehicles in the Penguin Point lot. The cars, registered to Shannon K. Hammonds, Sharon Street, Warsaw; Arvilee H. Earl, Old 30, Warsaw; Tracey L. Flannery, Silver Lake; Lester and Eloise Mast, Price Road, Milford; James E. and Mary L. White, Corlys Lane, Silver Lake; and Paula Shalley, EMS C28C Lane, Warsaw, sustained minor, but noticeable, damage in the accident.

No one was injured in the incident, but the damage estimate is between $10,000 and $25,000.
