Silver Lake Within $700 of Playground

July 28, 2016 at 4:25 p.m.

SILVER LAKE – The town of Silver Lake is just $700 short of their goal for new playground equipment.
It was announced Tuesday night that the town has recieved a grant of $50,000 and is just $700 short of having the equipment paid for.
In old business, the board announced that they had met with Dan Richards and it was decided that the town has no objections to allowing residents to extend their lots out to the lake along Edgewater Drive, but will not vacate the easements. Any resident wishing to extend their lot passed the easements can contact the town to fill out the required paperwork.
The council approved ordinance 06-01-13 to amemdent 96-11 which shortens the height of grass from 8 inches to 6 inches before the town contacts property owners to mow their lawns.
The board is also looking into codification of all town ordinances on the website. The project wasn’t budgeted for this year but will plan for it in 2014.
The town meets again July 9 at 7 p.m.[[In-content Ad]]
