Silver Lake Lions Club Scholarship Available

Factors considered in awarding the scholarship include community involvement, church involvement, school activities, financial need and applicant's educational goals, etc.

The award will be presented to a student who attended Silver Lake School and currently resides in Lake, Clay, Seward or Jackson township in Kosciusko County or Pleasant Township in Wabash County.

The applicant must be a graduate of Warsaw Community, Tippecanoe Valley, Whitko Community or Manchester Community high school.

Any student pursuing their education may apply. This includes a student currently enrolled in any college or vocational school.

A copy of the applicant's transcript and scholarship fact sheet must be submitted. Also, in letter form, applicants must submit tentative plans and needs along with two letters of recommendation from a minister, employer, teacher or professor and one from applicant's choice.

A panel of individuals picked by the Silver Lake Lions Club will choose the winner of this award. The panel reserves the right to refuse any and all applications.

The selection committee reserves the right to interview any or all applicants.

The recipient(s) of this scholarship will be notified by mail. If the recipient(s) is/are currently a college or vocational student, he or she also will be notified in writing from the scholarship committee.

Applications are available at the high school guidance office or may be obtained by contacting any member of the Silver Lake Lions Club. All applications and information must be completed and mailed to the person below by April 1. No applications will be accepted after the deadline. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
