Acton Enterprises announced the opening of a new store in Lakes Village Shopping Center. The 6,800-square-foot store brings a "doubleheader" retail concept to the Warsaw area, combining two stores under one roof. Acton Enterprises operates more than 40 similar store concepts. Warsaw is the seventh location in Indiana. Other Indiana properties include Wabash, Elkhart, Logansport, Shelbyville and Jasper.

Angie Gridley manages the new stores with a team of 10 part- and full-time associates.

Shoe Sensation showcases more than 10,000 pairs of shoes for the family. It will be the largest shoe store in Warsaw. National brands, such as Eastland, Clarks, Easy Street and Keds, will be featured for women as well as a collection of junior shoes from Mudd, Etnies, Skechers and Vans.

Children's shoes are available from crib sizes through youth sizes from brands such as K-Swiss, Skechers and Heelys. Men's brands include Rockport, Dr. Martens, GBX and Harley Davidson. Shoe Sensation also features athletic shoes and clothing from Nike, New Balance, Convers, K-Swiss and others. Shoe Sensation offers the latest footwear at 20 percent or more below competitors.

Underground Attitude (also referred to as UA) is a concept for juniors and young men. UA occupies approximately one-third of the Lakes Village location. This "store within a store" features brand name apparel at discounted prices. UA brands and styles are selected to reflect current fashion trends, including denim jeans and shorts, tees, tops, club wear and fashion accessories. Because the merchandise often is bought in limited quantities and priced to sell quickly, the style assortment in UA changes frequently.

Acton Enterprises is privately held. Based in Jeffersonville, the firm operates 85 retail stores in 10 states. Mike Bernard, owner, said, "We are very pleased with our new location in Lakes Village Shopping Center. We have been doing business in Indiana for many years, and we think this new store will generate lots of excitement in the community."

The store's grand opening was March 15-18.
