Jeff and Cindy Shoaf, Hope, announce the engagement of their daugther, Brittany Shoaf, Warsaw, to Kyle Shepherd, Lebanon. He is the son of Chuck and Karen Shepherd, Lebanon.

The bride-to-be is the county executive director for the Warsaw USDA Farm Service Agency. She graduated from Hauser High School, Hope, in 2003, and earned a bachelor's degree in agribusiness management from Purdue University in 2007.

The groom-elect works at Galloway Farms, Noblesville, and graduated from Lebanon High School in 2004.

The couple plan an Aug. 28, 2010, wedding at the family farm of Paul and Elsie Shoaf, Hope.
