Sherrill "Sherry" Joan Plummer, 66, of Warsaw, died at 11:42 p.m. Feb. 17, 2008, in her residence.

She was born March 25, 1941, in Wabash, to Joseph Howard and Mary Evelyn Egolf Fisher. On March 17, 1963, in the chapel on the Manchester College campus, she married Dennis Plummer, who survives.

She taught seventh-grade English, English as a Second Language, as well as the gifted and talented students at Lakeview Middle School, Warsaw, retiring in August 2007, after 25 years of service. Prior to teaching, she worked at RR Donnelly for eight years. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Atwood. She received a bachelor's degree at Manchester College and a master's degree at Indiana University, having fulfilled some of those credits at Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne. She was editor of the Manchester College Newspaper and traveled most European countries.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mary Beth (and spouse Joel) Garcia, Fishers, and Nancy Joan Boucher, Warsaw; three grandchildren, Drew and Katherine Garcia and Chloe Boucher; a brother, Dennis (and spouse Melissa) Fisher, Columbine, Colo.; and a sister, Janet (and spouse Tom) Scott, White Pines, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with the Rev. Jerry Thomas, of Otterbein United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Center Cemetery, Etna Green.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
