VAN WERT, Ohio - Sherrie S. Lovellette Black, 51, of Van Wert, Ohio, died at 10:20 a.m. Nov. 3, 2009, in Triumph Hospital, Lima, Ohio.

She was born March 10, 1958, in Van Wert, to Donald and Janella Stevens Lovellette. On Nov. 23, 1985, she married Dean W. Black, who survives.

She was a member of First United Brethren in Christ Church, Van Wert, and was a 1977 graduate of Wawasee High School.

Also surviving are a daughter, Jan Ella (and spouse Mike) Waltmire, Van Wert; two stepsons, Jason Black, Milford, and T.J. Black, Fort Wayne; a brother, Jeff (and spouse Deb) Lovellette, Milford; two sisters, Anita R. Carvajal, Willshire, and Heidi S. Lovellette, Syracuse; two grandchildren; and a step-grandson. She was preceded in death by a son.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, Ohio, with Pastor Jody Harr officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Convoy, Ohio. Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
