You're right I don't live in Kosciusko County anymore because I am stationed out here in St. Louis. I would gladly live in Kosciusko County if I was afforded that opportunity through the military.
So, you think the sheriff's salary is too low? I'm sorry, but I can't see how you can honestly say a man who makes $95,000 a year doesn't make enough. I will agree with you on the point that reducing that $95,000 wouldn't solve the problem. But it would be a start. Again, the council agreed to take away from those who don't make anything close to the $95,000. Can you honestly tell me that makes sense? Are you saying that the people who are taking the 7 percent pay cut are unimportant to Kosciusko County?
Yes, Mr. Nowak, I watch the news too. I know everyone is having financial struggles. Which is why I find it rather hard to believe "Rosco's" $95,000 is untouchable. I'm pretty sure there are others who saw the article in the Times-Union who find that hard to believe as well.
Maybe that's the problem Mr. Nowak. Maybe you should question the decisions of the commissioners and councilmen. Especially when they make dumb decisions like this one.
