H. Allen and Patricia A. Sharkey, Bourbon, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary Wednesday and at an open house Sunday hosted by their children.
Allen and the former Patricia Oldfather were married Nov. 5, 1954, at the Etna Green Methodist Church by the Rev. Homer Farthing.
Al is retired as owner of Poulson Motors, Bourbon. Pat is retired from National City Bank (the former Etna Bank), Etna Green.
They have six children: Ann M. Baker, Winona Lake; Janice J. (and spouse Randy) Wilcox and Paul A. Sharkey, all of  Etna Green; Sandra S. Sharkey, Olathe, Kan.; Teresa J. Sharkey, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Ellen E.. (and spouse Mark) Christner, Goshen; and eight grandchildren.
The family will gather for dinner Saturday. The open house is from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Etna Green United Methodist Church, 131 W. Broadway. Cards may be sent to them at 2499 13th Trail, Bourbon, IN 46504.

Get To Know The Team: Warsaw Captains Q&A
Earlier this week, I had the privilege of going to a Warsaw football practice and speaking with four of the team’s five captains.
