Mr. and Mrs. Steven Shaffner, 969 Country Club Lane, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary Feb. 20, 2011.

They were married Feb. 20, 1971, in Drummond Chapel United Methodist Church, Morgantown, W.Va., by the Rev. Harper T. Callison.

He owns Ramada Plaza Hotel, Bennigans, 2517 Restaurant and Wagon Wheel Theatre. She is a third-grade teacher at Jefferson Elementary.

They have two children, Chad Shaffner, Greenwood, and Sherry Buda, Grand Ledge, Mich.; and eight grandchildren.

The couple celebrated with family and friends Saturday at Ramada Plaza Hotel. They will celebrate together later with a trip to Grand Cayman.[[In-content Ad]]
