Jon and the former Denise Gordon were married Nov. 12, 1988, at First Baptist Church, Mentone, by the Rev. Kenneth Marken.
Jon is employed at Nicorr, Tippecanoe, and Denise is employed at Triton School.
They are the parents of two children, Joshua and Lucas Shafer.
