Sewer District Hires Atty.

NORTH WEBSTER - Lakeland Regional Sewer District Board continued the process of preparing to establish a sewer project at a meeting Thursday.

The board selected an attorney, Richard Green, Syracuse, to represent the LRSD. The board also heard presentations from three North Webster banking establishments providing information on interest rates and fees.

Mike Novack, Indiana Rural Community Assistance Program, attended the meeting and talked with the board about grant and loan programs available to the LRSD. Novack said he will attend future LRSD meetings to advise the board on funding opportunities.

The next steps before the board will include hiring a grant administrator and selecting a firm to complete an engineering study.

The next LRSD board meeting is Sept. 4 at 6 p.m. at the Community Center, North Webster. Board meetings are open to the public.[[In-content Ad]]
