Marines Private First Class Rebekah Nelson Coffman, daughter of Jenna Secrist, Warsaw, and Wes and Mindy Nelson, Quantico, Va., recently graduated from basic training at Parris Island, S.C.
She also completed more extensive training at Camp Lejueune in North Carolina. She will be attending more schooling in Florida before being stationed.
She is a 2011 Warsaw Community High School graduate.
Eiser Receives Insignia
Petty Officer Second Class Nicholas Eiser, Electrian’s Mate Nuclear, has received his submarine warfare insignia “Silver Dolphins” while on deployment aboard the USS Tennessee.
He is now qualified to maintain and repair critical ships systems and respond to shipwide emergencies.
PO2 Eiser, a 2007 graduate of Triton High School, is the son of Lisa and Michael Eiser Jr., Bourbon, and grandson of Louisa and the late Thomas Carr and Joan and the late Michael Eiser Sr.
He is the third generation in his family to be a member of the United States Navy, and seventh generation of military personnel in his family.
The USS Tennessee is an Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine whose homeport is Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Ga.
