Second Suspect Named In Throat Slashing Incident

SYRACUSE - The name of the second suspect involved in the throat-slitting of a Syracuse man has been released by police.

Roger E. Johnson, 33, is being sought by police. The knife incident is this weeks' Crime Of The Week for the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.

He faces charges of burglary, theft and battery, police said.

Jason Thorn, 23, Warsaw, already has been charged with burglary and theft and is being held on $20,000 bond in Kosciusko County Jail.

Thorn and Johnson were allegedly attempting to rob the home of Michael A. Garman.

Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department responded at 5:48 a.m. Saturday to a call of a man with his throat cut at 9874 E. Circle Drive South, Syracuse.

Garman, 24, advised he was sleeping in the residence and awoke to his throat being cut. Garman stated he knew both Johnson and Thorn.

Police believe Johnson may be in the Syracuse or Noble County area.
