Freda Scott, Mooresville, announces the engagement of her daughter, Jennifer Scott, Mooresville, to Brad Beer, Indianapolis. He is the son of Max and Ginger Beer, Milford.

The bride-to-be is a kindergarten teacher at Northwood Elementary, Mooresville. She graduated from Mooresville High School in 1993, and earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education, with a kindergarten endorsement from Franklin College in 2004.

The groom-elect is a quality control inspector at Silgan Plastics, Plainfield. He graduated from Wawasee High School, Syracuse, in 1993, and earned a guitar specialist certification from Berklee Online in 2009.

The couple plan a July 17, 2010, wedding.
