Bob and Mary Schmidt, of 77 EMS T6 Lane, Leesburg, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary July 2, 2010. Bob and the former Mary Gunder were married July 2, 1960, at St. Catherine of Genoa Catholic Church, Chicago, Ill., by Father Jenkins.

They are the parents of two children, Catherine and Robert Schmidt; and five grandchildren.

They lived in the Chicago suburbs for more than 30 years, New Jersey for five years and finally moved to their summer home in Leesburg when his plant was moved to Mexico. He retired from Paragon Medical Inc. and she retired from Wedding Traditions store, Warsaw.

They will celebrate with a family dinner and the July 4th fireworks at Tippy Lake with friends and family.[[In-content Ad]]
