Sauders Files For School Board Seat

Charles E. "Chuck" Sauders filed his papers Thursday to run for re-election to the Warsaw Community School Corp. Board of Trustees, District 4.

He was elected to the board in 2004.

Sauders is a retired public school teacher, having taught and coached in Fairfield Community Schools for 34 years.

He is a graduate of Grace College, with a bachelor's degree in social studies and Bible studies. He received his master's degree in American history from Saint Francis University. He received his license in public school administration from Ball State University.

Sauders was principal of Silver Lake School for two years.

Currently, Sauders teaches part time for Grace College and Ball State in the Indiana state prisons. He was twice listed in "Who's Who Among America's Educators." In 2007, Sauders was awarded the Excellence in Education Award from Ball State University.

For 18 years, he owned and operated Sauders' Nursery and Landscaping, giving him experience in running a business, in addition to his wide experience in education.

Sauders is a member of the Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church. He and his wife, Dr. Paulette Sauders, have two daughters, two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
