Charles E. “Chuck” and Paulette Sauders, Warsaw, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 11 with an open house picnic with family and friends.
Charles and the former Paulette Macon were married July 3, 1965, at First Grace Brethren Church, Akron, Ohio, by the Rev. John Burke.
He was a public school teacher and principial for 36 years. He is now teaching at Miami Correctional facility in Peru. She is a professor of English and journalism, and the chair of the Languages, Literature and Communication Department at Grace College.
They have two children: Charlette Sauders (and spouse Darren) Wetzel, Warsaw; and Catherine Cook (and spouse David) Luce, Winona Lake. They also have two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.[[In-content Ad]]

Get To Know The Team: Warsaw Captains Q&A
Earlier this week, I had the privilege of going to a Warsaw football practice and speaking with four of the team’s five captains. With so much having been written in recent weeks about their performance on the field, and rightfully so, I wanted to peel back the curtain a bit and ask them some questions about themselves.
