NAPPANEE - Sarah Mae Miller-Chupp Helmuth, 88, of 30325 U.S. 6W, Nappanee, died at 2:35 a.m. June 19, 2008, in her residence.

She was born July 10, 1919, to Sam T. and Lydia Mae Troyer Miller. On Dec. 18, 1940, she married Emanuel S. Chupp, who died March 11, 1990. On May 7, 2000, she married Ben Helmuth, who died Dec. 23, 2005.

She was a member of Old Order Amish Church.

Surviving are three daughters: Ruby (and spouse Floyd) Bontrager, Middlebury; Treva (and spouse Olen) Yoder, Goshen; and Mary (and spouse Sam) Barkman, Nappanee; six sons: Ura (and spouse Mary) Chupp, Ernest (and spouse Irene) Chupp and Emanuel Chupp Jr., all of Nappanee; Samuel (and spouse Pearl Louise) Chupp, Burr Oak, Mich.; Atlee (and spouse Wilma Jean) Chupp, Shipshewana; and Wayne (and spouse Linda) Chupp, Syracuse; two stepsons, Jr. (and spouse Alta) Helmuth and George (and spouse Lorene) Helmuth, all of Arthur, Ill.; 50 grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 125 great-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; five sisters: Ella (and spouse Eli) Chupp, Middlebury; Lillie (and spouse Dan) Bontrager, LaGrange; Arlene (and spouse Enos) Mast, Topeka; Lydia Mae Schwartz, Nottawa, Mich.; and Amanda Stutzman, North Carolina; and two brothers, Seth (and spouse Pat) Miller, Goshen, and Samuel Miller, Elkhart. She was preceded in death by two sons.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Sam Barkman residence at 30235 U.S. 6W, with Bishop Edward Miller officiating, assisted by Home Ministry. Burial will be in Weldy Cemetery.

Calling is after 5 p.m. today and all day Friday at the Sam Barkman residence.
