Sam F. Younce, 80, died at 11:20 p.m. April 2, 2011, in Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw.
He was born Oct. 4, 1930, in Jenkins, Ky., to Sam and Rausie Harman Younce. On May 4, 1958, in Warsaw, he married Pattie S. Sumpter, who survives in Etna Green.
He lived most of his life in Etna Green. He was a carpenter for Creighton Brothers for 48 years, retiring in 1994. He was a die-hard Cubs, Bears and Notre Dame fan.
Also surviving are two daughters, Beth (and spouse Calvin) Woodard, Etna Green, and Kellie (and spouse Bill) Keel, Bourbon; four grandchildren: Samantha Keel, Emily Keel, Colton Keel and Hannah Woodard; and a sister, Annette (and spouse Sam) Rollins, Knoxville, Tenn. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Tommy Younce on May 31, 1992, Jack Younce on May 29, 2008, and Walter Younce in July 1964; and two sisters, Helen Coffey on Sept. 24, 1996, and Jean Thomas.
Services will be at 2 p.m. April 16 at Tippecanoe Community Church, with Larrie Kreft and John Finley officiating.
Calling is from noon to 2 p.m. April 16 at the church.
Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
