Sacred Heart School recently was visited by Nancy Glon, illustrator of eight books. Glon shared with two groups the time and hard work it had taken for the illustrations to take form, taking over a year and a half to complete. She also explained about the research needed to write a non-fiction book. Glon has plans to keep working and illustrating several more books. Glon is also the great-grandmother of four students at Sacred Heart School: Dawson Vilamaa, sixth grade; Dalaney Vilamaa, first grade; Daylor Vilamaa, kindergarten; and Dauren Vilamaa, PreK3. Glon is married and a mother of seven children with 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. James Faroh, Sacred Heart principal, stated, ‘Her presentation will help inspire young writers and illustrators. She provided the important links between ideas and published works.’[[In-content Ad]]
