SYRACUSE - Ruthella G. Boggs, 85, of Milford, died at 6:46 p.m. Aug. 11, 2008, in Goshen General Hospital.

She was born May 14, 1923, in Akron, Ohio, to William A. and Sarah Aylor Lawrence.

After high school she attended secretarial school in Ohio. She was formerly a medical secretary and then retired as a secretary from Carr Memorial Homes, Akron, Ohio, after 10 years. Moving to the Warsaw/Milford area from Akron, Ohio, in 2002, she was a member of Firestone Park Christian Church, Akron, and Daughters of America.

Surviving are two daughters, Jean (and spouse John) Myers, Syracuse, and Nancy (and spouse Charles) Boggs-Rhoades, Mechanicsville, Va.; a sister, Betty June Williams, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Belinda Knight, and a sister, Gertrude Abshire.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron, Ohio, with the Rev. John Myers officiating.

Calling is from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron, Ohio.
