SYRACUSE – Ruth M. Rose, 72, of Syracuse, died at 9:35 a.m. Sunday, December 29, 2013, at Kosciusko Community Hospital.
She was born June 6, 1941, in Elkhart, to Edward and Eva L. (Kiser) Lock.
She graduated in 1961 from Elkhart High School and moved from Elkhart to the North Webster/Syracuse area in 1968. She worked as a machine operator at GTI in Leesburg, retiring after 20 years.
She was a member of North Webster Church of the Brethren and American Legion Post 253 Auxiliary in North Webster.
Surviving are two sons, Brent Rose, North Webster, and Brian Rose, Syracuse; two daughters, Ronda Sandoval, Syracuse, and Robin (and spouse Jeff) Davis, Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother,  Sherman “Butch” Lock; three sisters, Harriet Franklin, Joanne Richards and Pearl Hogue; and a grandchild,  Jimmy Rensberger
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, with Pastor Brad Cox of Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
