SYRACUSE - Ruth L. Hamman, 92, of North Webster, died at 7:15 p.m. May 18, 2008, in Lakeland Rehabilitation Center, Milford.

She was born Jan. 21, 1916, in Milford, to Frank and Exie Grace Rhodes Ringler. On Sept. 4, 1937, she married Stanley Hamman Sr., who died in 1968.

A lifetime area resident, she retired from Syracuse Rubber Co. in 1984. She was a member of Syracuse Church of the Brethren.

Surviving are a daughter, Judy (and spouse Jay) Clutter, North Webster; two grandchildren, Kenneth (and spouse Cindy) Hamman, and Barbara (and spouse Kevin) Marose, all of Warsaw; a daughter-in-law, Janet Hamman, Warsaw; six great-grandchildren, Tyler and Justin Hamman, Emily Newland and Kyle, Ryan and Katie Marose; a great-great-grandchild, Aiden Newland; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, a grandson, three sisters and four brothers.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse, with Pastor Robert Wyman officiating. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery, Mock Addition.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
