She was born Dec. 4, 1930, in Cromwell, to John and Ina Pearl Blankenship Hale. In August 1949 in Warsaw she married Curtis Allen, who preceded her in death July 10, 1986.
A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, she graduated from Warsaw High School, class of 1948. She worked as a cook, dining room aide and dietary aide for Mason’s Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw, retiring in 1999. She was also a member of Warsaw Church of God.
She is survived by three children: Linda Allen, Wanda (and spouse Rick) Simison and Ronald C. (and spouse Martha) Allen, all of Warsaw; two grandchildren, Chad (and spouse Jamie) King, Warsaw, and Troy King, Pierceton; five great grandchildren: Curtis, Cara, Casandra, Austin and Autumn; her great-great grandson, Aiden; her brother, John Hale Jr., Warsaw; her sister-in-law, Fannie Hale, Silver Lake; and two nephews, Tim and Danny Hale. She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Glen Ivan “Jake,” Denny and Willis Hale; a granddaughter, Kristina King; a niece, Dianna Rixter; and a nephew, Paul Hale.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Warsaw Church of God with Pastor Tim Kumfer officiating. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
